He is expected to play with the Boise Hawks in the Northwest League, a Class A short season league.Lucas Gilbreath, also a former Gophers pitcher, was drafted in the seventh round of the 2017 MLB draft by the Rockies. (AP) – University of South Carolina women’s basketball players Tiffany Mitchell, Alaina Coates and A’ja Wilson are heading to U.S. tryout camps to earn spots on national teams competing this summer.Mitchell, two-time Southeastern Conference player of the year, and Coates were invited to try out for the American teams playing at the Pan American Games and the World University Games. Wilson will try out for the United State Under-19 team playing in the classification’s world championships.The camps take place next week in Colorado Springs, Colorado.The Pan Am Games take place in Toronto, Canada with the women’s basketball tournament played from July 16-20. The World University Games will be played in Gwangju, South Korea, from July 4-13.The U19 world championship tournament will be in Chekhov, Russia, from July 18-26.last_img read more
